A guide by justin, student of the art of poker shareware win the world series of poker texas hold 'em ; : a guide by reo, a watcher, a player and a winner become a blackjack card counter. Used with limestone mortar. in 1886, william faithful chapman was hired to convert the structure to the three story hotel you see today. william chapman was an itinerant carpenter who had returned from the gold fields of the west. he added the third story and connected the brewster house to what is now the shullsburg creamery building. the beautiful spiral staircase in the brewster house is william faithful chapman's gift to all generations. everyone marvels at it's grace and beauty. the brewster house hotel was elegant for its day with spacious halls, comfortable rooms, central steam heat, electric lights, a three story outhouse, and "the most comfortable beds this side of the mississippi." this comment was made during a chance meeting of a shullsburg native and a happy customer on the streets of paris during world war ii. leonard morgan, a colonel in the air force, was on leave in paris and happened to mention to an acquaintance that he was from shullsburg, wisconsin - it is indeed a small world. as is the case with all old hotels, we have many stories to tell. many colorful characters have graced our halls. some have chosen to linger on and entertain our guests. yes, we have ghosts, but our residents assure us that they are friendly. we agree. nothing bad has ever happened here. in the mid to late 19th century, shullsburg was a mining boomtown. we had a population of over 11, 000! the saint paul railroad brought many a weary traveler to stay at our hotel. the actors and actresses performing at the copeland opera house were among our many honored guests. one can still see the marks left on the wall of the spiral staircase where they dragged their heavy trucks up the stairs. let your imagination wander and you will be able to get a sense of what a wonderful time it was in this frontier mining boom town! in the late 20's and 30's, the brewster house came under the ownership of john and mary gerlach. mary ran a fine establishment! clean sheets and white tablecloths were a must if you were working for mary. she was sweet and tough and she took her work at heart. john gerlach hosted legendary poker shareware games in the smoke filled back rooms of the hotel. the high stakes games attracted notorious gamblers from all over the country. these colorful characters have left indelible marks on the folklore of the region. after the eagle pitcher mine closed in 1977, the brewster house fell into neglect. in 1984, shullsburg creamery purchased the brewster house and stopped the deterioration. we take pride in our heritage and invite you to stay with us in our many lodging establishments. the brewster house restaurant serves up fine food in the tradition of mary gerlach. stop and visit our quality shops, tour our mining museum and visit the amazing "gravity hill". we hope you enjoy your visit.

Doctrine of karma meant nothing less than rebirth that was positionally contingent upon performance: the caste system. the flexible social structure previously enjoyed was thus replaced by a rigid edifice. only the king rajah ; , whose office was now hereditarily fixed, lived elsewhere. all other members of society fitted into this new complex. the brahmans, as gods, naturally occupied the penthouse. the kshatriyas warrior class ; lived very well in the upper stories. the vaishyas artisans, merchants and tradesmen ; were at ground level while the shudras peasants and slaves ; labored in the basement. under the foundation, and crushed by it, were, of course, the pariahs, the untouchable outcasts. the karma doctrine happily relieved the high-born of any of the onerous burdens of noblesse oblige. mistreatment of the wretches who occupied the bottom of this social structure was actually consonant with the divine intent. low birth was an act of divine punishment and no responsible upper-caste member of society cared to thwart the obvious will of god. and who would complain? the mistreated wretches supposed that in their previous lives they had been nobles who had sinned and had incurred thereby the punishment of their present, lower- caste birth. and, pain being an expiatory necessity, the more abuse they received, well. the sooner they would be reborn into a higher caste where they could assist, similarly, those of lower rank. karma had a way of making everyone feel good about himself. the brahmans quickly capitalized on their new position. no longer mere singers, divine or otherwise, they were able to impart divinity to the actual words they spoke, to utter syllables that were intrinsically powerful. since each incantation was not only a divine utterance but divinity, itself, it reasonably followed that if a brahman wanted to harm someone he simply stuttered while reciting a prayer at one of the fellow's ceremonial occasions. if he felt particularly vengeful, he delivered a line backwards. and if sufficiently provoked, he resorted to the omission of an entire stanza! the ensuing calamity is terrible to contemplate. ; on the other hand, if a brahman wanted to bestow a blessing, he simply rendered the proper prayer with perfect elocution. good diction fetched a high price. brahmans were also able to huckster themselves as brokers of every man's apotheosis, an even more lucrative profession. according to the brahmanic prospectus, a lower-caste investor was unconditionally guaranteed to be born a brahman at his very next incarnation. there was always room at the top for anyone who cared to make financial sacrifices. thus did brahman wives and brahman children owe their high standard of living to the enunciation of sanskrit syllables. thus did the glorious upanishads give rise to fraud and voodoo. and thus did the brahmans construct hinduism's eternal triangle: karma conduct ; , caste reward or punishment for that conduct ; , and reincarnation the means by which the reward or punishment was administered ; . this triangle was the. The loss of a dockside casino or riverboat casino from service for any period of time could adversely affect our business, financial condition and results of operations. u.s. coast guard regulations also require us to prepare and follow certain security programs. in 2004, we implemented the american gaming association's alternative security program at our riverboat casinos and dockside facilities. the american gaming association's alternative security program is specifically designed to address riverboat casinos and their respective dockside facilities maritime security requirements. changes to these regulations could adversely affect our business, financial condition and results of operations. we draw a significant percentage of our customers from limited geographic regions. events adversely impacting the economy or these regions, including terrorism, may also impact our business. our california hotel and casino, fremont hotel and casino and main street station casino, brewery and hotel draw a substantial portion of their customers from the hawaiian market. for the nine months ended september 30, 2006, patrons from hawaii comprised approximately 67% of the room nights sold at the california, 53% at the fremont and 53% at main street station. an increase in fuel costs or transportation prices, a decrease in airplane seat availability, or a deterioration of relations with tour and travel agents, particularly as they affect travel between the hawaiian market and our facilities, could adversely affect our business, financial condition and results of operations. our las vegas properties also draw a substantial number of customers from certain other specific geographic areas, including southern california, arizona, las vegas and the midwest. native american casinos in california and other parts of the united states have diverted some potential visitors away from nevada, which has had and could continue to have a negative affect on nevada gaming markets. in addition, due to our significant concentration of properties in nevada, any terrorist activities or disasters in or around nevada, or the areas from which we draw customers for our las vegas properties, could have a significant adverse effect on our business, financial condition and results of operations. each of our other properties located outside of nevada depends primarily on visitors from their respective surrounding regions and are subject to comparable risk. the outbreak of public health threats at any of our properties or in the areas in which they are located, or the perception that such threats exist, as well as adverse economic conditions that affect the national or regional economies, whether resulting from war, terrorist activities or other geopolitical conflict, weather or other factors, could have a significant adverse effect on our business, financial condition and results of operations. in addition, to the extent that the airline industry is negatively impacted due to the outbreak of war, public health threats, terrorist or similar activity, increased security restrictions or the public's general reluctance to travel by air, our business, financial condition and results of operations could be significantly adversely affected. energy price increases may adversely affect our cost of operations and our revenues. our casino properties use significant amounts of electricity, natural gas and other forms of energy. in addition, our hawaiian air charter operation uses a significant amount of jet fuel. while no shortages of energy or fuel have been experienced to date, substantial increases in energy and fuel prices in the united states have negatively affected and may continue to negatively affect, our operating results. the extent of the impact is subject to the magnitude and duration of the energy and fuel price increases, but this impact could be material. in addition, energy and gasoline price increases in cities that constitute a significant source of customers for our properties could result in a decline in disposable income of potential customers, an increase in the cost of travel and a corresponding decrease in visitation and spending at our properties, which could have a significant adverse effect on our business, financial condition and results of operations. certain of our stockholders own large interests in our capital stock and may significantly influence our affairs. william s. boyd, our chairman and chief executive officer, together with his immediate family, beneficially owned approximately 37% of our outstanding shares of common stock as of september 30, 2006. as a result, the boyd family has the ability to significantly influence our affairs, including the election of our directors and, except as otherwise provided by law, approving or disapproving other matters submitted to a vote of our stockholders, including a merger, consolidation or sale of assets. some of our hotel casinos are located on leased property. if we default on one or more leases, the applicable lessors could terminate the affected leases and we may lose possession of the affected hotel casino. we lease certain parcels of land on which the orleans hotel and casino, suncoast hotel and casino, sam's town tunica, treasure chest casino and sam's town shreveport are located. in addition, we lease other parcels of land on which portions of california and fremont are located. if we were to default on any one or more of these leases, the applicable lessors could terminate the affected leases and we could lose possession of the affected land and any improvements on the 45.

By gennie seely basic communication can take many forms. in its true sense, it is the means of getting a message across to another individual. often the method can be nonverbal, like a poke in the nose or a swift kick in the pants. in this modern age, we tend to think more in verbal communication, or worse, written communication. if it is written down, it is viable. talk till you're blue in the face, but to have your point accepted, it must be in writing. unfortunately that may not even be good enough. since i deal only with those issues i have rst hand knowledge about, or which i know about personally, i must elucidate, using just my experiences of the last few days as regards communication, or the lack of. this poser has often been debated: if a tree falls in the forest, and there is no one to hear it, is there a sound? now, to common folk, it is ludicrous. of course there is sound. but if we carry this over to the absurd and allow philosophers, theoretical scientists or audiologists to ponder the question, the answers could vary. when i arrived at d-q at 11: 45 a.m. this past sunday, i was met by two uniformed men carrying side-arms. there was a cable strung across the entrance to the school, so i could not enter the campus via auto. the school is located off a lonely stretch of county road, so i became very cautious. i had been warned that there were armed guards stationed at the gates in a late night call on friday. it still gave me pause. the rst guard asked me for my name. i asked him for his. he asked me what i needed. i asked him why he was there. in other words, we communicated rather cordially. he said he was a private security guard hired by the administration to protect against any trouble that might occur. i told him that the only trouble was being implemented by said administrator. as we talked, two other cars containing students and board members drove up. enter the second guard, mr. macho man. when i asked for his name, he gave it and added, "some people don't like me." negative vibes escalated. in situations like this, that is a very clear type of communication. go with your gut feeling. there de nitely was an imbalance of re-power. they had guns, we had only cell phones and a video camera. we all left to have our board meeting at another site in davis. we worked our hearts out. as a matter of fact, it was after midnight before my friend and i got to her apartment in sacramento. i had not prepared to stay over, but they seemed to feel it necessary. that had mandated a late night trip to wal-mart for a change of clothes. they were going to le all the necessary legal paperwork to set into motion getting the defunct administration off the premises. they no longer had any legitimate business there, and were further depleting any remaining money the school had to pay their salaries for doing further damage. somehow i had been elevated to "movie star" and some degree of heroism because of my article in the paper and presenting the students' case to the indian gaming tribes. they even gave me some owers. this should prove that heroes are not born, but, rather, emerge out of necessity. monday we set out on our missions of forging a paper trail to document our legitimacy as the true board for d-q university. we took our legal packet to the yolo county sheriff's department. they seemed a bit bewildered with our situation. they did, however, take our "for each" of the cease and desist orders they were to present. they did assure us that they could not be expected to enforce them though. we would have to do that. if this seemed like wasted money, we did feel that this did give us some clout in the eyes of the law. that didn't last long. three of us were sent to present the documents to the district attorney of yolo county. apparently he wasn't available. instead a guy came out to ask if he could help us. it turns out he was merely "the investigator of the day, " we determined as he talked. he scored no points in legal expertise or diplomacy. after listening for a few minutes, he began to chop away at everything we said. first he said that the form from the secretary of state attesting to our legitimacy as the board meant nothing. this caused - please see seely, page 3.
Sunday, april 3rd, 2005 by cj the world poker shareware bloggers tour aladdin casino classic saturday, june 4th, 10am the aladdin casino in las vegas, nv we’ re about two months out now, and the anticipation is close to boiling over. Now how would we use this letter when planning for an event? first, this letter is almost ideal. nearly every sentence provides a plot opportunity for gladwin. the brevity of the letter is by no means intended to discourage anyone from writing a long letter filled with your own character's experiences. but the nuts and bolts are all there in this letter, and it is therefore a valuable tool for planning activity for gladwin. and that is the main point. the first thing we would do would be to plan to have the knight make an appearance at the event and make sure gladwin knew at least ; when the knight would be there. this could easily be developed into a small adventure that could include gladwin. perhaps a small group of npc's with interests similar to gladwin comes to town and encounters gladwin. they talk, the npc's steering the conversation in the direction of the knight. they have seen him on the road somewhere in the camp, perhaps. now it's up to gladwin to act. he may try and pay the npc's to kill the knight while he watched. it doesn't matter much if they win because chaos is achieved. but of course, if they win, gladwin gets the best of both worlds. there are many other possibilities here. this is just one example. we might set up a "thief's adventure" in which gladwin would have a chance to pick locks, disarm traps, and generally use stealth skills. this also provides an adventure for gladwin's companions. the toughest part of gladwin's short-term goals is his desire to be an outlaw. it requires action on his part before anything can be done about it. we can only hope that gladwin will go through with what he states. we have already implemented a system of laws and punishments giving gladwin many opportunities to thumb his nose at the established order. this partly takes care of gladwin's least enjoyable aspect of the game. gladwin wants to be allied with the monsters. he achieved this with the ogre, and the gift of the necklace, but he has sent notes to the king of the monsters requesting a deeper alliance. a small band of hobgoblins could come to town seeking gladwin, acting on his written notes. they would accompany gladwin around town for a time. again, there is endless opportunity here for an adventure. perhaps the hobgoblins have orders to lull gladwin into friendship and then take him to their camp as a present to their chief. or maybe a more intelligent monster goes out to test the validity of gladwin's request. many other players could be participants in the escapades of gladwin. gladwin wants to rescue the girl from her captors. this is easily arranged and a ready-made adventure for him and some of his companions. we would set up an adventure to give him a chance for the rescue.
